Masterclass: Navigating the UK Greenwashing Rules

Purpose of the course

Since April 2025, the Competition and Markets Authority can impose fines up to £300,000 or 10% of a company’s global turnover (whichever is higher) for greenwashing.

Firms should think carefully about whether they have the appropriate evidence to support their claims, and there is lots of guidance to help them make this assessment.

Protecting a company, clients and consumers from greenwashing is the job of many people, not just consumer lawyers.

This course will enable you to analyse and check environmental claims, by going through the Green Claims Code, over ten case studies, and the UN Integrity Matters Report.
