Masterclass: Navigating the New EU Greenwashing Rules (EmpCo)

The purpose of the course

The EU Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition (EmpCo) Directive has started applying from September 2026. This course can help your team get to grips with the changes and avoid costly compliance mistakes.

Who is it for

  • Sustainability and ESG Professionals looking to safeguard the hard work put into their impact programmes.
  • Marketing and Communications Teams creating copy that includes any sustainability claims
  • In-House Legal Counsel seeking to understand the evolving regulatory enforcement landscape.

What does it cover

This course will cover everything you need to know about EmpCo, including changes to offsetting claims, future, social, and generic claims, and sanctions across member states. We will also discuss a step-by-step strategy of things that companies can do to prepare for greater scrutiny.

By the end of the session, you will have a clearer understanding of how to audit your current communications, cross-check your environmental data, and help manage the risks associated with the new regulatory landscape.
