“Climate-related risks will affect most clients and nearly all areas of climate practice” (The Law Society).
Lawyers, support teams, trainees, and law students who are looking to learn more about Climate Change, ESG, and their relevance to law firms are in the right place to find out more.
To celebrate its 8th year in business, Private Goodness is launching a weekly collection of events, with a 2 for 1 offer available via the Eventbrite website.
Every week (from the 29th May to the 18th September), the schedule will be the same, and you are invited to attend a single session or complete all four over one day or several Fridays.
The schedule is:
9 am – 10:30 AM : Your clients and climate change
This course is structured to encourage reflection on the climate risks that your clients might face and how you can support them.
11:00 – 12:30: Climate justice
This course is designed for lawyers who want to explore climate litigation as a risk to their clients and climate justice as a movement.
1:00 – 2:30: How to prepare your clients for new greenwashing rules
Since April 2025, the Competition and Markets Authority can impose fines up to £300,000 or 10% of a company’s global turnover (whichever is higher) for greenwashing. This course helps lawyers prepare their clients.
3:00 – 4:00 PM: An overview of ESG: key concepts and actions
This session is designed for professionals looking to understand the fundamental principles of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
Each interactive CPD-Certified session is:
£25 for trainees and law students
£75 for lawyers and support teams.
If you aren’t available on Fridays, or would like to book an in-house session, please e-mail olga@privategoodness.com and we can arrange a time that suits you.
You can see more information and book via Eventbrite here.
